Our History

Pinedale Bible Church (PBC) began in February 1984 with five people and by June there were thirty-five people attending. Pastor Jim Silvey and his wife Lynda began their ministry with the church a year later in June of 1985 and remain today. Since that time, PBC moved from a rented upstairs space in the current Summit Building to buying an office building. In February 2008, PBC relocated to the newly constructed building West of Pinedale where we now hold services and programs. In 2015 we completed and moved into our beautiful new Sanctuary.  From the beginning PBC has had a strong music ministry and currently is served by two worship teams leading with a blend of hymns and contemporary music. Upon arriving over 25 years ago Pastor Jim and Lynda brought a love for children and youth ministries, which has been built into many strong programs that are well attended throughout the entire week as well as special mission trips and camps throughout the year. PBC has been involved with Old Faithful Christian Ranch since 1997 which serves children and youth. PBC is a mission-minded body of believers that presently supports eight missionaries. PBC members are actively involved in short term missions trips to such places as Slovakia, Mexico, Benin (Africa), Haiti, Nepal and Peru. In addition to missions the adults programs include Sunday school and small group Bible studies, monthly potlucks and an annual church camp-out. PBC is Elder run with deacons and deaconesses to assist in various ministries within the church. Presently there are over 280 individuals that attend regularly. We have been blessed as a growing congregation; yet, ultimately our desire is to lead each member into a deeper relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ.
